Call for Participation: Global Research Study on Effective Leadership

Hogan Assessments, the international leader in personality assessment, is conducting a new global research initiative focused on effective leadership. You are invited to participate in this study to help us identify essential characteristics for effective leadership.

Call for Participation

To participate in our groundbreaking study, all you need to do is complete an anonymous 15-minute survey. Results will contribute to future Hogan publications.

Your perspective will help us identify:

  • The personality characteristics of the most effective leaders
  • What gets in the way of effective leadership
  • Which values and motives effective leaders share
  • How criteria for leader efficacy vary globally

After you complete the survey, please invite your colleagues to participate by sharing the survey link. Our goal is to collect as much global leadership data as possible to provide the most complete picture of effective leaders.

Organisations with 10+ participants will receive an aggregated report of leadership trends specific to your employees.

💡How Does It Work?
1. Invite your employees to complete the online survey. Just write ”[PARTICIPATING COMPANY]” in response to the question ‘What company do you work for?” in the Participant Background section.
2. Hogan compiles aggregated, anonymised data reflecting leadership perceptions in your organisation.
3. Receive a comprehensive summary of trends, which PBC will review with you to explore development opportunities and insights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some common questions about our survey.

Q: How long will the survey take?

A: The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

Q: How many participants are you seeking?

A: We are aiming for more than 200 respondents per market. The more people who participate, the more nuanced our results can be.

Q: Is the survey anonymous?

A: Yes, the survey is anonymous.

Q: What demographic data will you collect?

A: In every market, Hogan will collect key demographic data, such as age, race, and job level. These data will allow us to analyze leadership data in different ways. In specific markets, we may collect additional demographic data. For example, in mainland China, we will collect data on city tiers.

Q: Are participants required to respond to demographic data?

A: Yes, respondents must provide demographic data before accessing the survey items. Participation in the study is voluntary.

If you have a question we have not addressed, please send us an email.
