Hogan Certified Users Webinar: What Does Good Leadership Look Like? Insights into What Australians Want from Their Leaders

Hogan Certified Users Webinar: What Does Good Leadership Look Like? Insights into What Australians Want from Their Leaders

đź“…5th May 2026

đź•’11:00AM – 12:00PM (AEST)

What people expect from leaders is changing, but not always in the ways we assume.
In this session, we’ll explore what “good leadership” really looks like in Australia, using fresh insights from Hogan’s Global Leadership Effectiveness Study and a deep dive into the Australian results. Rather than relying on leadership stereotypes or trends, this research is grounded in how people in Australia actually define leadership effectiveness today.
Drawing on large‑scale, global data and Australia‑specific findings, we’ll look at:
  • The leadership behaviours Australians value most right now
  • How Australian expectations compare with global patterns
  • Where leaders tend to over‑index on “looking like a leader” versus actually being effective
  • What distinguishes leaders who build strong, sustainable teams from those who simply rise to the top
Grounded in evidence and real‑world data, this session offers a chance to step back and reflect on leadership in the Australian context: what seems to work well, where challenges often arise, and how expectations of leaders are continuing to shift.
